Elon Musk Teases Twitter With Dogecoin Reference, Again

Tesla and SpaceX founder Elon Musk has caused a stir on Twitter after referring to dogecoin as the best cryptocurrency. 

In a tweet, Musk posted a photo of a dog with the caption “Dogs rock.” Musk then followed up the tweet with a subsequent post saying “They have the best coin.”

Musk has previously referenced dogecoin in his sparse tweets related to cryptocurrency. In April 2019, Tesla’s founder called DOGE one of his favorite cryptocurrencies after making the short-list for potential CEOs to run the token.

DOGE has created a stable presence in the industry of cryptocurrency despite primarily being a meme coin. 

Users were thrilled with Elon’s joking reference towards DOGE, with a number of Twitter users predicting that the coin would likely see a pump in price.

Charlie Lee, founder of Litecoin, pointed out that dogecoin had been featured in a recent episode of The Simpsons, alongside bitcoin and litecoin.
